Trovi troubles

We have unknowingly dowmloaded the trovi malware. The sweepr apr ID'd bad files and we are trying to securely empty them from the trash. There are 22,830 items that need to be deleted and each individual item is taking over 1 minute to delete. How can I speed this process up?
