Dec 11, 2015 8:06 AM in response to SCORBETTby KiltedTim,Um.. don't delete it. Putting stuff in the trash that you don't really want to get rid of is not a good strategy for managing your data.

Dec 11, 2015 8:25 AM in response to SCORBETTby Duane,When you share emails between devices you typically access the account using IMAP. When using IMAP you are looking at the contents of the email server. If you delete an email from any device, it is deleted from the server. If you delete an email from your phone or iPad, you will see it deleted when you look from the iMac.

Dec 11, 2015 8:35 AM in response to Duaneby SCORBETT,I get that, but what setting do I need to change so it doesn't automatically delete from trash? I know it used to keep everything until I went in and manually deleted them.

Dec 11, 2015 8:53 AM in response to SCORBETTby poikkeus1,Are you using another device, too? If that's the case, the it could be an issue with the port configuration. If you find email disappearing from your device, that's a real possibility.
