How to add labels in numbers / bubble chart?

Hey everybody

I am about to go nuts with probably something very easy.

I want to add labels to a bubble chart in numbers. The bubbles are correctly positioned (i.e. numbers reads the correct x and y values) but I cannot figure out how to add the labels to the bubbles.

I think I tried everything (obviously not, otherwise I wouldn't be here), especially under FORMAT / SERIES / BUBBLE LABELS. If I click there on "Show series names" numbers only shows whatever is written under SERIES / DATA / NAME. So I tried to add here the column of the labels but that doesn't work either.

Funny enough - probably for the same reason / mistake - if I click in FORMAT / CHART / CHART OPTIONS on LEGEND, numbers will only display 'untitled' as legend, which is equally wrong.

Can anyone help? I am quite desperate

Thanks to everyone

Jorge

You've probably seen that you can change the label here.

Unfortunately, though, there is only one label for the whole series. I can't find a way to have Numbers automatically label individual bubbles. To do that it looks as if you would need to manually create text boxes and drag them into position.

You could make a suggestion to Apple via your menu Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback.
