Incorrect Apple ID after pairing Apple Watch

Hi there,

I have an Apple Watch but last week I gave it to my friend to try it. I forgot to unpair the watch just reset it and give it to him. Now i get back the watch and after I paired the device and accepted the terms and services I have to login to my Apple ID. But I got always the same message: Incorrect Apple ID, you can not activate apple watch with this Apple ID.

Now I ve tried everything. Reset the iphone settings, deleted the watch from icloud my devices, create new apple ID but i got always the same (even with the new apple id). So I don't have any idea how to activate the watch. I've checked activation lock is on but I dont know why because I have deleted the watch from my devices.

Thanks forward,

Armin

Hi Armin

It seems that Activation Lock may have been applied to the watch (automatically) when it was paired to your friend's iPhone.

If so, for you to be able to pair the watch to your own iPhone again, your friend will first need to deactivate the feature.

Ask them to visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with their Apple ID > Settings > My Devices > Click on Apple Watch > Click on the "X" > click on Remove.
