Man telling me to download Citrix
Hi, I just received a call from a woman, who then switched over to a man and they told me that in my Microsoft account (i have hotmail) someone potentially sent me a scam email and i accidentally opened it and now I have risk for someone hacking my computer. They said they were from Microsoft help technicians. They told me I need to download Citrix to figure out the problem. Can someone tell me if this is real or not? He gave me the number of the company to call him back, but I never got notification saying I had a hacker (which i doubt is a thing anyway). I did check my "terminal" and did an "netstat" check and it said I had 8 ESTABLISHED foreign addresses (which I am guessing is bad in the first place), but the Citrix webpage didn't look real to me. Just wanted to check if this has happened to anyone else before I move forward in trying to get rid of those ESTABLISHED foreign addresses using this company or whomever it was who called.
Thanks!
