Q: How do I transfer pictures from my MacBook to my iPhone?

Just got an iPhone 6. I have an old MacBook. I want to transfer some of the photos from my MacBook to my iPhone to use them as avatars in contacts. Supposedly, I can access all of my photos from iCloud. However, when I open the iCloud Drive on my phone, no photos show up. Either I don't know how to get photos up to iCloud (but I think they're already there) or I can't get them down from the cloud to the phone. Help!

Just sync them from your computer to your iPhone.

Open iTunes, connect iPhone, select what you ant, sync.

That depends on how old the Macbook is. It has to be new enough to install iTunes v12.3. Once installed see: Sync photos from your computer to your iOS device using iTunes - Apple Support

I tried this. Followed all the instructions in the linked article. Still have no photos on my phone. :-(
