Q: Volume slider on iPad Air randomly disappears

I understand that the sound slider intermittently vanishes on your iPad Air. I would suggest going through the troubleshooting steps in the article below. Make sure to disconnect your iPad from any Bluetooth accessory as this could cause this issue.

When you put the device to sleep using the Smart Cover, the volume indicator disappears. To bring it back, you either have to put it to sleep and awaken it using the sleep/wake switch, or by lifting up the control center.
