Dec 11, 2015 11:46 PM in response to C.Alexanderby léonie,Which MacOS X version are you using? The most recent update MacOS X 10.11.2 is fixing a bug with importing from the iPhone.
If you have not done so consider to update, if you are on El Capitan.

Dec 12, 2015 12:17 AM in response to léonieby C.Alexander,I Knew I shouldn't have said crashed. It doesn't crash the app. photos reads my phone for a minute. Actually the time it took me to type that, then it disconnects it or unreads it. i don't know what to call it. When I try to upload photos only about two will show up before disconnecting.

One of the photos on your iPhone may be corrupted. Try to identify the photo on your phone. It is probably the next photo or video that should download from the phone.
Do you have a recent backup of the iPhone? Then try to restore it from the backup using iTunes.
If you have new photos on the iPhone that need saving, you could try to save them to your mac by emailing them to yourself before you restore the iPhone.

Dec 12, 2015 1:28 AM in response to C.Alexanderby Foto21,I just installed the newest El Capitan, and I'm running a two month old iphone 6s plus. In Mavericks, I could import my photos relatively easily, although it was starting to go haywire there also, so now I come into brand new El Crapitan, and guess what, I can't import any of my work into my desktop. Photos just blanks out the import section!
THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE APPLE! What do you guys do with all that money anyway? The phone works great, but its pretty useless if I can't get the pictures off it. WHY CANT IT JUST SHOW UP AS A HARD DRIVE LIKE EVERY OTHER FRICKING CAMERA IN THE UNIVERSE! WHY DO I HAVE TO USE YOUR FAILED LOUSY SOFTWARE JUST TO TRANSFER IMAGES! YOU WILL NEVER COME UP WITH ORGANIZATION I WANT, SO JUST LET ME HAVE MY FRICKING IMAGES!!!!
