Results of Diagnostic Test

I was pleased to learn of the Diagnostic Test which was provided by Linc Davis for my Macbook Pro (mid-2009) running OS 10.10.5 but which has been running extremely slow, especially when trying to interface with Microsoft products like Outlook. I ran the test with no glitches. The problem is I cannot interpret the results. There appears to be a whole lot of code which was dumped to my clipboard, but it's all Greek to me. Please help.

The problem is I cannot interpret the results.

It's best not to run that test unless I ask you to. It's not intended to be a self-help tool. If you do choose to run it on your own initiative, you shouldn't post the results on this site. Although the test itself is harmless, I can't be responsible for the consequences of following advice you might get from others.

Anyway, running that test is usually not the first step in solving a problem.

Please launch the Console application in any one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages

from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select

View ▹ Show Log List

from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take an action that isn't working the way you expect. Select any lines that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.

Some private information, such as your name or email address, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

When you post the log extract, you might see an error message on the web page: "You have included content in your post that is not permitted," or "The message contains invalid characters." That's a bug in the forum software. Please post the text on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

If you have an account on Pastebin, please don't select Private from the Paste Exposure menu on the page, because then no one but you will be able to see it.

I really appreciate your very detailed reply to my problem. I will definitely heed your advice and NOT run the diagnostic test until I am told to do so. In the meantime, I tried to use the Console App as you suggested and thought about how I might "reproduce" my problem. I think my problem is more fundamental. Google is my default browser and the one which I expect when I login. That was not the case when my machine was corrupted by some MacKeeper or some other app. BTW, I noted when viewing files in Console that there is STILL some kind of MacKeeper app on my machine. In any case, I am not sure how to "reproduce" my problem, when my problem is that my machine is running so slowly, that I have to wait 5, 10 or even 20 minutes sometimes for a (safe) website to load. I know that your time is more valuable to the community than mine, but I still don't have that kind of time to wait for a website to open, especially when the website I want to open to begin a session is google.com. I would very much appreciate ANY suggestion(s).
