delete region without deleting automation

Can I delete a region without deleting the automation on its track?

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

Hi

Logic Pro X>Preferences>Automation

Move Track Automation with Regions Set it to "Ask" or "Never"

There is also an "include trails if possible" checkbox
