Q: Sound works, but no image... bad LCD?

Hi all,

 

The charging port works on my monitor and the sound works, but I don't have an image on the screen.  Is this a bad LCD?  Or could it be a bad logic board

 

I would think with sound coming through and the monitor showing up as a display on my  MBP when plugged in that the logic board is fine, and most likely the power, too.  Not to mention the charging mag connector works, too. 

 

Is there something else that could cause the screen to not work?

 

This is a 27" A1407, FWIW.

    After using a bright flashlight, I was able to confirm there is an image on the screen, but the backlight is not turning on at all.  I am going to open it up and check to make sure all connections are solid and hope the backlight connection came loose.
