Is there any app which can show internet speed always on the status bar or on notification panel

Hi, im currently searching for network speed notification status for ios. I hope dev team can produce it to monitor internet speed like androids.

Like this one beside wifi icon.

Again, that is software for an OS X computer, not an iOS device.

iStat for iOS, like any network speed test or traffic app, shows information in the app itself when that app is running. It cannot and does not change the iOS home screen or have any ability to show the speed all the time when other apps are active and in use. So no, iStat does not do what the OP asked for.

Oh wait, you're asking about iPad and iStat is for OS X. I'm not sure if any apps are available for iOS that will do this but we'll see if anyone else knows.

No, any app that would measure network speed will only be able to display it in that app itself. No app may modify the display of another app or default iOS features.

pretty neat, but it only runs a "speed test" IN the app (among a myriad of 'traffic' monitoring stuff = how much date is sent & received)

Thank you. I don't beleive there is a app that measures continuous internet speed. If there were a clever app sedigner could incorporate the speed as a badge notification on the home sceen similar to the temperature display on my home screen.

Currently no without doing the unmentionable. See Michael's Black's answer above, an app can't modify the operating system.

That is probably a wise measure... iOS & OS X are different creatures - in OS X, it is common practice to modify the Menu Bar

You're welcome. It may be nice to have it in the status bar but with the Pads "sandbox design" it's impossible. Currently the only way possible is if Apple put it there as part of the operating system. If you think it's a worthwhile addition use the link below to leave Apple feedback.

I think an app to show ips speed all the time would use to much battery power.

I have turned off apps refresh & i now get over 2 hours more battery life

On iphone/ iPad .
