Is there any app which can show internet speed always on the status bar or on notification panel

Again, that is software for an OS X computer, not an iOS device.

iStat for iOS, like any network speed test or traffic app, shows information in the app itself when that app is running. It cannot and does not change the iOS home screen or have any ability to show the speed all the time when other apps are active and in use. So no, iStat does not do what the OP asked for.

No, any app that would measure network speed will only be able to display it in that app itself. No app may modify the display of another app or default iOS features.

You're welcome. It may be nice to have it in the status bar but with the Pads "sandbox design" it's impossible. Currently the only way possible is if Apple put it there as part of the operating system. If you think it's a worthwhile addition use the link below to leave Apple feedback.

Oh wait, you're asking about iPad and iStat is for OS X. I'm not sure if any apps are available for iOS that will do this but we'll see if anyone else knows.

Thank you. I don't beleive there is a app that measures continuous internet speed. If there were a clever app sedigner could incorporate the speed as a badge notification on the home sceen similar to the temperature display on my home screen.

pretty neat, but it only runs a "speed test" IN the app (among a myriad of 'traffic' monitoring stuff = how much date is sent & received)

Some app that ran in the background and could be brought to focus in a "panel" on top of what one was doing would be way past cool...

That is probably a wise measure... iOS & OS X are different creatures - in OS X, it is common practice to modify the Menu Bar

OS X and iOS are radically different operating systems when it comes to that kind of thing. iOS is a highly segregated, or sand boxed system where for the most part, 3rd party apps have no access at all to the core operating system and file system, nor to each other. Even when apps use system wide data, like location information, they get it by asking for it from an OS component (location services) and do not have direct access to the underlying hardware and firmware.
