Yesterday my dad's wireless MAC keyboard lost connectivity with iMAC OSX (batteries fully charged). The same thing happened to mine (don't live with him). Is there something going on with the system?

Yesterday my dad's wireless keyboard lost connection to his iMAC (OSX 10.6.8). I went into system pref. and tried to restore connection to no avail. Batteries fully charged. The same thing happened to my own MAC, same OS! I've tried to reconnect, but it's not detecting the keyboard. I have an old MAC keyboard plugged into USB port now that is working fine. Anybody experience this?

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
