How can I sync mp3s to my iPhone without first uploading it to the cloud?

So I want to know the old fashioned method of syncing my mp3s to my iPhone "without" internet access and completely through the cable. I've struggled for months to figure this out. The reason I want to do this so much is because when I put a mp3 on an iCloud music playlist, it takes hours for it to appear on my other devices.

Logic Pro X, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

you need to do two things.

ON your iPhone tiurn OFF iCloud music library.

IN iTunes you need to only select songs that are physically on your hard drive and not downloaded from Apple Music - songs you eiher burned from cd's or purchased and downloaded either from iTunes or other sources.

Then you will be able to sync music to your iPhone the old way via US.
