Itunes - will not let me sign in.

Hello Can anyone help?


I logged out of itunes and now it will not let me login. I press the sign in box on iTunes (top right and nothing happens) same with if i use the drop down menus.


I have cleared cache, all software is updated. This only happened after i logged out because iTunes was really slow a couple of days ago.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

I understand that you're not getting the sign in dialog when trying to sign into the iTunes Store in iTunes on your computer. In such a situation it may be due to iTunes being unable to connect to the iTunes store. The steps outlined in the article linked below can help restore this line of communication and restore your ability to sign in on your Mac.
