Microsoft Word Document Invisible

I was in the middle of working on a document in Microsoft Word and I opened a new window and then closed that window without saving the changes. The document I had been working on was no longer there and I hadn't saved the changes yet. When I try to click on the document on the desktop it acts like it is already open, but I cannot find it. When I click on Window in Word it shows it with a checkmark next to it, but when I click on it, it will not open. When I click on Bring All to Front nothing happens either. I don't see the document on the toolbar. Does anyone know how I can find it?!? It appears to be already open, but I cannot see where it is!
