DJI Phantom 3 Advanced ios device problem

Hi everyone,

On your link: http://www.apple.com/shop/product/HJ3E2LL/A/dji-phantom-3-advanced-camera-drone it says, that ios devices support and are compatible with DJI Phantom 3 Advanced drone. If so, why is it true that Phantom's RC does not charge the ios device and the reason for this problem is that Apple does not let every device to charge ios device?

I am very sad, since I will be forced to buy Android (and I do not want to) just for this purpose, and probably I am not the only one.

Please let me know why you are selling Phantom 3 drones on apple.com if your ios devices do not work as they should and are not 100% compatible?

Thank you for your answers in advance,

Are you serious? There is absolutely nothing on the Apple page that you provided, or the DJI GO software page below it — that even remotely suggests, recommends, or promises that the 15.2V DJI Drone batteries, or the 17.4V 100W charger are intended to provide IOS charging functionality. There is nothing on the DJI site either. Good luck turning that Android device into molten slag too.

Apple sets electrical standards for its products for personal safety, product durability, and because the Federal government says they have too. If you connect an incompatible, external energy source to an IOS, or Android device, who should take the blame if it destroys your device. Apple? DJI? Or, perhaps yourself.

Hi VikingOSX,

I never said that it says that charging functionality is promissed. I am just saying that the fact is, that in past every iOS device was charging great on Phantoms RC, but now suddenly this function has been terminated. I just wonder why. I am a loyal user of Apple devices and I prefer Apple over the most other choices, but having 1.300 EUR drone and the chance that my iOS device will drain to the end leaving me blind in the air is not an option, so that leaves me with no other choice but using android instead (even though I don't want to).

With this post I just wanted to know if Apple has a solution to this problem, but instead I received a reply "good luck turning that Android device into molten slag too". Thanks a lot for this very good solution. You are to kind!

Fact is, that a lot of Phantom users used to have iPhones, iPads, iPods mounted on the RC which used to charge just fine, but now they don't. And people don't mess with their 1.000+ EUR worth drones and really do not want to stay blind in air, just because iOS device does not let them charge through Phantoms RC. Apple should make fix for this problem ASAP.

Kind regards and thank you so much for your help and effort,

Dean
