I imported a cd to itunes and made a playlist out if it. i exported the playlist so i can import into another family members library but i get message songs not copied because can't be found. so, how do i do this? reason can't import cd to their laptop is their drive is shot and not worth replacing

A playlist is just a text listing of files and track information, not the music itself. Think of a shopping list, it isn't the actual groceries.
If you can't Home Share, drag the tracks from iTunes to a flash drive open in Finder.
Thanks, i have two questions. i don't get the little star which would allow me to bring in the content and does homesharing have to be the same id on all devices. She has her apple id and i have mine
