iTunes freezes after I connect my iPad or the iPhone

Got a new iPhone 6s, updated its software and also updated the iPad's OS(Air 2) too.

iTunes required me to update it, so that it could work with my devices. Updated iTunes to 12.3.2.35 and **** descended onto my Windows 8.1 pc.
iTunes opens when clicked and as soon as either of the apple devices are connected, iTunes freezes. I've tried many fixes such as reinstalling the software, cleaning up many folders as said by this Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later - Apple Support. This procedure was to no avail. I read somewhere that selecting Preferences and unchecking automatic sync under Edit on the iTunes window would help, but sadly when I click the Preferences under the Edit tab, once again iTunes freezes even without the devices being connected. This is really frustrating, help.

Hey Krishanth2k,
I understand that iTunes freezes on you every time you plug your iPhone or iPad Pro. Let's see if we can get this sorted out.
Good job on the troubleshooting sos far. To continue it, I would start with booting up iTunes into Safe Mode. By doing that, it eliminates any plugin's you might have that may be contributing to the freezing. For more details, take a look at the the two articles below.
