download and view some PDFs IOS 9.2

Since downloading the iOS 9.2 update, I have noticed I am unable to download and view some pdf files. I tried my account on my colleagues phone (running iOS 9.1) which does this without issue. The server is Exchange 2003 server. Has anybody else seen this? Anybody know a fix?

We are having the same issue with some PDF documents on Exchange 2003. The Acrobat workaround to download the full message and long-press to open in Reader does not work. One or more of the following happens:

  • The PDF file acts like it is downloading (circle progresses/completes)
  • Tapping/long-pressing on the PDF icon doesn't do anything
  • The error "cannot download attachment" appears

User uploaded file User uploaded file User uploaded file User uploaded file

Temporary workaround on 6s 9.2: open in Outlook Web Access in Safari, long-press on link to PDF, open in new tab. Temporary until OWA access is removed.

Cannot open some PDF files:

(JW) iPhone 6s, iOS 9.2, Exchange 2003, No AirWatch Agent (AWA)

(RJ) 5s, iOS 9.2, AWA 5.0.3

(MC) 5s, iOS 9.2, AWA 5.0.3

Can open PDF file the others can't:

(KB) iPhone 6, iOS 8.3, Exchange 2003, AWA 5.0.3

(SD/DEM) 6, iOS 9.2, Exchange 2010, AWA unk

(MC) 6, iOS 9.1, Exchange 2003, no AWA

Having the same problem running Exchange 2003 SP2 with iOS 9.2. Lots of our users having this same issue after updating to iOS 9.2. Our 9.1 users have not experienced this issue. I've setup a test environment 2 Phones with same email account connected to our Exchange 2003 SP2 server and tested problematic emails (.PDF's, .M4a's and even .XLSx files) on the iPhone 6 running version 9.1 its works normally. While on the another iPhone 6 running 9.2 opening the same attachments fails with error "Cannot Download Attachment" and then will not respond to pressing attachment button at all.

HELP!
