"iTunes has stopped working"

My PC crashed in the middle of updating iTunes and since it came back up, iTunes won't start. It gives the "iTunes has stopped working" message almost instantly when I try to start it. I followed all of the instructions for trying to launch in in safe mode, trying to launch it from a different user account, and doing the full on uninstall/reinstall bit (where you uninstall iTunes, Quicktime, the Apple Updater, Bonjour, etc.) A restart, a reinstall, and another restart later and the exact same thing happens. I'm running 64-bit Windows Vista Basic. Does anyone have any advice beyond what's listed here:

Fix unexpected quits or launch issues in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later - Apple Support

Thank you!

What version are you installing? You might have more luck with this build:

iTunes 12.1.3.6 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards)- iTunes64Setup.exe (2015-09-16)

See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for further advice, in particular the guide to Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components which may have some additional information over the Apple article you link to above.
