Dec 21, 2015 12:52 PM in response to nick_63by JtheK,It's possible that Microsoft Update has stopped finding newer updates, this has happened to me. Please try these downloadable update installers. I found references to these on German blogs, so I believe they will update your version of Office 2016. You should install them all in order:
15.16: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3102925
15.17: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3119518
15.17.1 for Outlook and Word only: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3127248
I'm not saying that these updates will fix your keyboard shortcut, but they do increase compatibility with El Capitan and squash many other bugs.

Dec 24, 2015 6:26 AM in response to Templeton Peckby nick_63,Meanwhile I have tried: update office; send a message to microsoft support; remove office with CleanMyMac and delete all office-related folders I could find in the library; then download office again (now 15.17); logged in as an other user on my iMac - the problem with the shortcuts still remains the same.
What I am doing now - I just wait for a further update. Thank you all for trying to help me.
