Dec 16, 2015 12:34 AM in response to jfculatby chaos.lam,I have the same problem and found it will keep disconnecting during file download if the wifi signal is not strong enough.
When I moved to somewhere near the router, the wifi was perfect.

Dec 16, 2015 12:39 AM in response to chaos.lamby jfculat,My signal is maximum. My Macbook is in the same place than my router.

Dec 16, 2015 2:28 AM in response to jfculatby nirvana002,same problem here.
everything worked fine, but after the update to 10.11.2 my macbook doesn't get a valid ip address anymore.
what a great update!

Dec 16, 2015 7:35 AM in response to nirvana002by kbusch,Hi Folks,
same problem here. But as one fellow reported earlier. I have this problem just at one router (in my office). At home everything is fine.

Dec 16, 2015 6:48 PM in response to kbuschby chaos.lam,In my case, the connection will be dropped if the rssi of the wifi is lower than around -50 dBm.
Is there anyone similar ?

Dec 16, 2015 7:03 PM in response to esteban108by brycesteiner,Between this and zapping the PRAM should be the first thing tried after an update that seems to have issues.

Dec 17, 2015 2:04 PM in response to jfculatby jfculat,I just updated to 10.11.3 beta 1. WIFI connection is more stable. But still some disconnection when I download.
-
Dec 17, 2015 2:23 PM in response to jfculatby brycesteiner,I have the same model and I haven't had any issues since 10.11.2--the first without issues for me. Speed was always my problem since 10.11 even in the betas. Since you are on the beta, be sure to report this problem using Feedback because it will send in your wifi internal details directly to apple.
Something I would try before is this:
1. Delete your wifi connection completely out networking and shutdown.
2. reboot your modem after leaving it off for 30 seconds or so
3. reboot and Zap your PRAM and reset your SMC
4. recreate your wifi connection on your Mac and test
In one of the betas I had an issue with wifi, it wasn't exactly the same, but doing this fixed the problem.

Dec 17, 2015 10:11 PM in response to brycesteinerby jfculat,I already tried all these solutions. It didn't fixed my problem.
Yes I reported this problem using Feedback.

Dec 18, 2015 9:12 AM in response to esteban108by brycesteiner,I have found reinstalls don't work well either. What I did last time that did work well was I made a Time Machine backup. Then I plugged in my USB drive with El Capitan 10.11.2 and booted from it. Then did a clean install. When it was done it asked me if I had another computer I wanted bring in apps and files over so I told it the time Machine backup and it brought in everything perfect on a clean install.
Reinstalls and repairs always end up with the same issues or worse. This actually worked.
Hopefully it all gets resolved soon and >>esteban108, make sure you send feedback or a bug report too.
