iPhone Water Damage

Hi Everyone! So, I got my iPhone 5 back a week ago because of a battery problem, and there was a water bottle incident and now it won't work.

We have put it in rice for two days and it says that it needs to charge, but when we charge it, it doesn't recognize that it's being charged.

I don't know what to do. The phone is so old that it doesn't have any warranty on it, and since I live in Vermont, we don't have an Apple store.

Please help! If you need more info feel free to ask!
