I am getting an rendering error when I burn to DVD

I cannot burn DVD's. I have an iMac running El Capitan with an i5 processor and an external Apple superdrive. I try to burn a DVD and I get an error message which reads, "There was an error during rendering/encoding of the menu/slideshows. The burning process has been canceled." Am I do something wrong? I have been using iDVD for years with no problem until El Capitan.

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11), MacBook, iMac, iPhone6+, iPod, iPhone

I ran some tests this morning and found that the newer themes, like Revolution from V7, are those that are having problems encoding.

That's interesting.

The test I did for the OP on 12/16 did use the Revolution menu, although I did not use either a menu background image or menu music.

I'll do some experimentation here as well.
