Q: Why don't I I have an audiowave toggle button in Imovie for iphone 6s.

I made the switch from iphone to a galaxy s6 to see if the grass was greener but it was not.  I'm happy to be back on iphone with my new 6s but I do miss my Kinemaster Pro app for video editing.  I'm getting used to imovie but can not see the audiowaves in the background music.  To be clear, I can not see audiowaves anywhere and there is no toggle button next to the undo button (I've seen the toggle button in tutorial videos).  I'm hoping it's an ID ten T user error

not available on iphone (specific to ipad or something like that).  I have the Iphone 6s running ios version 9.2 (13C75 on AT&T) with imovie version 2.2.1 (2347.0).
