Q: Keep all memory size the same?

I would think that adding memory to my Late 2014 iMac 27, to get 32g, get 4 8 gig sticks.

Came with 2 4 gig,

When I increased the memory in my iMac, I got the RAM (3rd party) all the same size.

Click on the "Memory Upgrade Instructions" which is located bottom left of the Memory window for detailed info about your model iMac. See above pic.

My iMac 27 runs fine with mixed sizes:

but they are matched side-to side.

Expierence with all problems over the years, it used to be even two sets of batches caused problems.

Will just replace the other 2, and get 4 eights.
