Photos on iMac stopped importing from iPhone 5s,

I am using an early 2008 24" iMac running El Capitan. I have an iPhone 5s and an iPad Air both running iOS 9.1. Up until November 1st, Photos on the iMac has imported pics no problem from my phone. I am using iCloud to sync my pics on all 3 devices. If I access Photos or iCloud Drive from the phone or tablet, all my pics appear just fine. When I access iCloud on the iMac I don't see any files after 11/1. What is happening. I need to import my pics to the computer before I can upgrade to iOS 9.2. Any advice?
