Q: Text Tones & Rintones swapped on iPhone 6plus

I resent all settings on my phone due to a camera issue.  Big mistake; many things not working correctly including my sounds.  The text tones are switched with the ringtones.  In other words when trying to select a text tone - all I have to choose from are ringtones, and visa versa.  Can anyone help.  I have restarted phone, synced it on my laptop.

    Hi there loki pokey,

     

    It sounds to me like your text tones and your ringtones seem to be swapped in your Settings when you try and customize them. I would start by quitting the Settings app:

     

    Force an app to close in iOS

    1. Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
    2. Swipe left to find the app you want to close.
    3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

     
    When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again. What this should do is refresh the Settings app and hopefully rectify the mis matched info:

    If the issue persists that indicates to me there is a deeper issue with the iOS so I would suggest you backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it looks correct.

    If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.
