Q: I cannot upload the photos from my iPhone onto my Windows computer

My computer won't allow me to access the photos on my iPhone. It will allow me to update the music and games and all on iTunes but I cannot open it outside of iTunes. Can anyone help?

Sorry, but your question is not clear. What do you mean by your computer won't allow you to access photos on your phone? Photos on your phone are uploaded to your computer via an import, and if you want photos on your computer to be put on your phone from the computer, you sync them.

So, can you clarify what you are asking about?

    Cheers,

OK, so photos have to get to the computer one of several ways:

    1.     You can use your iCloud account to set up a Photo Stream that is shared among all devices and computers that are signed on to that same iCloud account and that have the Photo Stream option turned on:

My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support

    2.     You can manually import your photos to your computer by hooking up your device to your computer, and then by using a photo importing software like iPhoto or Photos for Mac, or My Photos for Windows

    PHOTO IMPORT IOS TO MAC/PC

    3.     Depending on what software you are running on your machines, you can also use iCloud Photo Library which will store all of your photos in iCloud and make them all accessible to your devices and computers at the same time. The drawback to this is if you change or delete a photo in one place, it gets changed or deleted universally, since the photo itself resides in only one physical place

Is this the kind of info you are looking for?

I cannot view them on my iPhone at all. I have tried going through my settings to find something that is different to another iPhone but nothing is different but I still can't view them on my Windows laptop.

Not sure what you mean when you say you can't view them on your phone? Do you have the Photos app on your phone?  What happens when you tap on that icon?

Did you read the article under item 2? It has troubleshooting steps for Windows photos imports that are having issues.

I am also having the same issue. I manually hook my phone to my computer, however, when i do this only certain photos are available for drag and drop onto my pc. There are a great many additional pictures that are on the phone but do not show as available on the computer. I assume therefore, they are in the cloud. I need to know what i can do to either get the computer to recognize ALL the photos on the iphone, or find out how I can access icloud on my windows computer so I can download them that way.

Importable photos are those photos in your Camera Roll. Where did the other photos come from? If they are not in your Camera Roll, how did they get into your phone?
