It sounds like you want to change the Apple ID used for Apple services on your iPhone. Since you are receiving an error indicating that the Apple ID is already being used, could you elaborate on what steps you go through when you receive this error? Just to double-check, are you going through the steps below when changing the Apple ID being used?
Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

I realized that I had to sign out of the iPhone BEFORE I changed the Apple ID. Having done that, I successfully switched over.
