There is no app to edit a published iWeb site.

But there are apps to write a blog.

Use them and make a link to it.

No, there is no app to be able to edit iWeb from an iPad and never has been.  You need the iWeb domain.sites files for this and you need to use these every time you write and upload a new blog post and iWeb never has been compatible with an iPad and you cannot edit the html files.

Your girlfriend needs to create her blog using something like WordPress and then create a link to it from inside her website.

Also, you do know that iWeb is an unsupported and unsold product?  It has not been updated by Apple for 6 years and has been unsupported for the last 4 years or so.

Why on earth did you create a new website using an unsupported product?  That is not very sensible really and if you want to get a new website up and running, then you should have considered all the supported alternatives out there such as EverWeb, Freeway Pro and others.

Ok @Wyodorthanks for info.. I guess I will figure out how create a nice website on pages .... because a link to an external page is not an option since the blog should be integrated.  .. than again I'm not sure if pages has a blog option.

@Ethmoid thanks for the info .. no I know that there is no way to manage an iweb page on iOS ! ... but you don't now how old the website is..

I have been doing websites with iweb for years and if find it so easy and convenient to work with.. it still works great and I usually don't care about rather or not apps are supported by apple. I usually ask questions on forums like this.. I do understand , that unsupported apps are not updated and will not  get bugs fixed etc.  .. my wallet  already hast to keep up with apples hardware updates and upgrades .. do keep switching familiar software along with skill set creates more inconvenience.

Pages - really?  This is a word processing package so no blog option or anything similar and you would still have to use iWeb anyway - you can use a Pages template that you like, but it would still mean the same thing, that you would have to use iWeb to create the site, so nothing different there at all.

It can't be done.  So you either need to look at investing in a new application like EverWeb or you create a blog that is like the website using something like WordPress.org or WordPress.com and rather than linking to it you can still have the blog as part of your site, but you can put it on the site as an iFrame within an html snippet instead.  That way, you have no external link on your site at all.

Also, I have to say that if you take a look at EverWeb, you will be right at home and you will not need to learn any new skill set - it was designed with old iWeb user's in mind to be like iWeb in look and feel, but you can do a lot more right out of the box than you ever could in iWeb - for instance, drop down menus, a contact form widget and lots more.

Take a look at EverWeb by clicking on the links.

    I checked it out..  thx.

I will probably use Wordpress or a Wordpress based app ( one that can be managed with Wordpress on an ipad) since its free.

But thanks everybody for your constructive input .
