Q: Can't install Apple Device Support

appMbDevSupp.JPGI have tried every bit of advice and work around I can find in this forum for days on end and nothing will allow me to get past this installation problem.

I am running Windows 10 and I have had constant problems with installing iTunes updates, connecting my iPad Air and iPhone 5c since upgrading in July, but managed amid much frustration until recently.

Now I cannot even get the photos off my phone/ipad onto my PC. I've never managed with the icloud and google drive is now the only way to access my photos!

I have re-installed iTunes more than 10 times and have managed to manually extract and install all other components individually, but not AppleMobileDeviceSupport6464.msi.

Does anyone know why?

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.2, also got iPad Air2

    Hello LA2222,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I see you have difficulties with Apple Mobile Device Support not being installed on your computer and that you have tried reinstalling iTunes for Windows to resolve the issue. I would suggest trying to reinstall iTunes again as described in the following article. I also recommend following the steps for removing iTunes and related components in the order described. As it states in the article:

Don't uninstall these components in a different order, or only uninstall some of them. Doing so might have unintended effects. After you uninstall a component, you might be prompted to restart your computer. Wait to restart your computer until you're finished removing all of the components.

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later

    Regards
