I just can't figure out how. The USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter supports HDMI but not DisplayPort.

Also I can't figure out if the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter HDMI port supports a 2560x14450 resolution on a 27" display.

MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2), MakBook 12" 2015

The Apple HDMI multiport adapter does support 2560x1440 over the HDMI port...but not all monitors accept resolutions higher than 1920x1080 on their HDMI ports. I can say that the acer K272HUL does work with the Apple multiport adapter at 2560x1440 over HDMI, but that's the only display I have experience with.
