Latest version of El Capitan Apple Mail is killing my business.

I've never seen anything like this and it couldn't be happening at a worse time for my business which relies very heavily on email and communication.

Apple Email is completely haywire and if not for the online email hosting that is saving my ***...I would be completely destroyed.

Literally...from minute to minute....emails displaying in my inbox will display and then disappear. One second I have the most recent new emails...a minute later...I'm seeing emails from 6 months, 3 months ago, etc as the most recent ones in the inbox. What was just displaying....is no longer?

There in non stop (indexing?)...'Downloading Messages' - 1022 messages....14000 of......748 of.... Lol..case in point...I just took a look now...and the most recent email in my inbox is from May 2015.

For the last year plus...I have had to quit Apple Email in order to get new emails. My main problem is via Go Daddy mail using IMAP. (Which is my primary business email)

I don't know what to say....it's a bit dramatic..but APPLE: This CRITICAL tool in modern life and business is ******* my business. HOW CAN YOU THINK ABOUT BUILDING A CAR... if this is the level of reliability and effectiveness that you have presented to your loyal customers? Or maybe it's just me in which case I apologize for the freak out.

Does anyone have a clue why the emails keep showing, not showing, CPU spiking, fans going...latest emails from March...then today....then June...? *** is happening? Is this something I am doing or can change? Incorrect settings?

you may need to contact go daddy's support and see if their mail server is compatible with OS X 10.11 mail and if you have configured it correctly.

If not you may need to downgrade to a previous instance of your OS provided you have a time machine backup to an instance that is compatible or look into the possibility of using go daddy's web mail if the service is available to you.

while it's possible your mail has "freaked out" is there conditions which could be attributing to the problem outside of mail? Are you running any Mac AV, Cleaning or 3rd party network or mail utility, if so you should remove them to test system stability.

Additionally you may wish to attach report from this software which was developed by a frequent contributor on these forms to determine if there is another possible cause to your issues.

It's only fair....after my raging rant....to state that it's this GO DADDY email / Apple Mail combination for **** that is the problem. Maybe It's not Apple Email's fault...I just figure that GO DADDY is one of the biggest website / mail platforms and for the life of me something is terribly not jiving. I can't be the only Go Daddy user?

Are any Go Daddy web / mail users having these same issues? I'll be the first to apologize to Apple if it's not 'on their end' but I need help badly.

I can't figure out how to delete my original post here. Just want to follow up and state that it's not Apple Email that is 'killing my business' but rather it's inability to work efficiently with Go Daddy email. I get my new emails if I quit then reopen Apple Email everytime I want to get new messages. I guess I'll just live with this and maybe follow up again with Go Daddy support who stated that 3 recent security patches by Apple have caused problems between the Go Daddy email and the Apple mail. Thanks for the help everyone....super appreciated.

I would delete this post because after further time and efforts trying to figure things out...it's clear that the problem is specific to Go Daddy compatibility and it's rather unfair for me to completely trash Apple in this specific instance.

I feel better. :-)
