How do I turn off navigation on my watch?

So I just got the Apple Watch. I had an appointment today and put the directions into Maps on my iPhone and it showed up on my watch. Perfectly fine. But it won't go away. The past 2 days it keeps prompting me for directions to that locations on my watch. I have deleted that destination from maps on my iPhone and it still keeps prompting me. Any ideas?

Thanks

To turn off the turn by turn notifications on your watch, open the watch app on your iPhone. Tap the notifications tab, scroll down to Maps, and select turn off notifications. This will disable the turn by turn notifications that you receive when driving and can become very distracting.

Hi

The Maps glance ^ will always show your current location.

If you have an upcoming event in your calendar, the Maps glance will also automatically show you directions to that event. This feature cannot be turned off.

^ Glances are accessed by swiping up from the bottom edge of your watch face and then left / right to switch between glances.
