Q: Systems services draining my data. What can be done to reduce

MY wife only uses iPhone 5 for whatsapp and Facebook very limited but I have to top up data twice a month. Switched off data completely and reset stats. Bought 1gb data and within 7 days 560mb used for which system services accounts for 540mb. Please help as data is very expensive in South Africa!

    Greetings pietie1001,

     

    My understanding is that you are concerned over data usage on your iPhone, having noticed that a large amount is coming from system services. Is that correct?

     

    You can dig deeper to find out what items are causing System Services data usage by tapping it in Settings > Cellular. See this article - About cellular data settings and usage on your iPhone and iPad. You will see a display of various things using the data, with the heaviest users at the top.
