Q: iPhone 6 reconnects from my MacBook Pro USB

Hello everybody, I've a MacBook Pro Retina 2014 with El Capitan 10.11.2 and an iPhone 6 iOS 9.0.2 my problem is that when I plug my iPhone to my Mac it reconnects every second or less but this weird behavior just happens in ONE USB port, the left one, but in the right port everything is fine, I've also noticed that Photos app doesn't recognize my iPhone in the import section (actually there is no import section) in the left port, but the right yes... aaaand another thing I've noticed when it's reconnecting my trackpad behavior is really weird, I can't clic properly (without pressing) but when I disconnect it everything is fine again.

I really don't think is a hardware failure because the faulty port just works fine with other devices (such as external HDD) and an iPhone 5s with the same iOS version... also noticed that when I move to the Guest User it stops reconnecting and the Lightning cable works fine charging my iPhone and well... in the other port.

Does anybody knows how to fix this annoying issue? I've reseted the SMC but nothing seems to have changed... indeed sometimes rebooting "fix" this but in sometime after happens again...

I'd like to let Apple knows about it and get fixed soon, if this is not the proper way, I'd like to contact with them and tell them about it.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

    Howdy kratoz29,

It sounds like one of your USB ports isn't working properly. I would use the troubleshooting in the following article about iOS & USB issues named:

    Resolve USB-related alerts in iTunes

There is some troubleshooting in it that overlaps what you have already done, but it should help you get to a resolution. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

No, that doesn't works... indeed those are most like workarounds than a fix... rebooting my rMBP does the trick, but after some time it get backs again, so no fix yet.

it's really frustrating, and all seems is a software problem, cause, as I've said before, it works flawlessly with other devices...
