Apple TV is not listed on Airplay second generation iPad.

I have a second generation iPad and a Apple TV issue. I work in a school system and have several Apple TV's set up across the parish and they are working fine. I have one Apple TV that will not show in the Airplay Control Panel. Other Apple TV's show up, but not this particular one. I have "Restored and Updated" both the iPad and the Apple TV and it made no difference. I am able to see and connect to the Apple TV with the newer generation iPad and also on my iPhone 6. All the Apple TV's that are listed are on the Second Generation iPad and are exactly the same Apple TV that will not show on Second Generation iPads. I've tried 5 iPads. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand from your post that your iPad is not seeing a specific Apple TV when trying to AirPlay. Given the troubleshooting you've already done, please contact Apple Support by using step 6 outlined below.

If you don't see the device you want to stream to

When you tap AirPlay on your iOS device, you should see a list of devices that you can stream content to. If you don't see the device you're looking for, follow these steps. After each step, try again:

Make sure that the device you want to stream to is plugged in and powered on.

On your Apple TV, make sure that AirPlay is turned on in Settings > AirPlay.

On your iOS device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and check that you're on the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV.

On your Apple TV (4th generation), go to Settings > Network and check that you're on the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device. For Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation), go to Settings > General > Network. If your Apple TV uses an Ethernet connection, check that the cable is plugged in to the router that you're using for Wi-Fi.

If you’re using an iPad, scroll up and down in the device list to see all of the available devices.

I would rename the missing Apple TV to AA and try it again. My idea is that with so many Apple TV's on your Airplay menu, maybe some are getting cut off. Not sure they designed in scrolling of a huge list into the Airplay menu. On the other devices, the screen resolution is greater and the un-scrollable list may be longer than on an iPad 2.
