Q: Log and capture a whole tape within a single clip
Hello,
Let's see if someone can help me, I run out of resources!
I'm capturing a mini DV tape from a Sony HVR-M25U Record/playback deck (Fireware HDV 1080i). I have to capture 100 tapes in HDV, using Final Cut Pro 7. After a week of resolving different problems and adjusting the settings, there's a thing i still haven't found out how to solve. The log and capture window captures perfectly (I chose the "capture now" option, since my intention is to capture the whole clip all at once) but it creates different clips. In addition, some seconds of footage get lost between the end of a clip and the start of the next one.
I've tried capturing the whole tape as a clip by setting the In and Out at the beginning and the end of the tape, but still, it captures everything but dividing it into clips (and losing some seconds of footage in doing so).
The option "new clip in start/stop" in the "log and capture" window, "clip settings" tab, is unchecked (though I tried to check it and the problem isn't solved anyway)
Though I've searched all over the web, I couldn't find out how to solve this issue. Is there anyone facing the same problem?
Thank you so much for your help!
Marta
