I'm trying to put movies on my ipad using dropbox. When I try to save the movies to the camera roll it comes up with an error saying it failed to upload or save.
Any ideas how to get movies on my ipad?
pretty sure that the build in apple movies and music and ebook reader and photo reader will not know about or work with dropbox but other players of such media might
I believe you can play the movies from within DropBox. However, you can't save them to the Camera Roll.
I did have movies in dropbox but I want to watch them offline. You are supposed to be able to watch them in dropbox offline and save to camera roll. Neither work for some reason.
You can export the movies to another app and then play them offline. I have an app called Documents by Readdle that I can export videos into and watch offline. Let me say though that I am talking about short videos that I shot with my iPad or iPhone. I haven't tried it with a longer video.
I use VLC player on my iPad mini. VLC can access Dropbox and download videos to VLC on the iPad. You play/watch the videos in VLC, not Camera Roll or Video.
I put the movies from dropbox on vlc but when they download I don't know where they go.
The files are stored in the VLC app on the iPad.
