Q: iCloud documents are MIA

My macbook was stolen on 10/5/15 and I replaced it a week later. Started a business a year ago and had critical documents in icloud. With new computer I logged in and there they all were. Until recently when they all just disappeared. Where did they go? I don't have another backup cause I thought that was part of the value of using icloud.

Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Have you tried restoring from iCloud.com > Settings > Advanced > Restore Files/Contacts/Calendars

Thanks for the suggestion. Just tried and there were no files to restore.

I assume your profile is incorrect.

Do you keep a Time Machine backup of your Mac.

Not since beginning to use iCloud. The profile appears correct. My business folder is there but there are no documents in it.

You should always keep a back up.

Something is not correct since you can't use iCloud from OSA X 10.6
