copy imovie library to windows

Hi,

I am doing a project for work on my personal MacBook - and our office runs on Windows... 😟

I am trying to copy all the raw media from my iMovie Library onto an external USB so that I can then plug said USB into work's windows computer and copy onto the computer so that it is available to other employees and I can then delete off of my personal MacBook.

If anyone knows how I can simply copy all the footage that I imported directly into iMovie from my iPhone in a format that a Windows computer can read + write that would be greatly appreciated.

*Please note I am not particularly tech savvy, so please if you could give me step by step instructions in basic terminology*

Much Appreciated 🙂

Hi Chillihotdogs,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! If you are looking to export files or clips from iMovie, you may want to try exporting them as QuickTime (.mov) files, then test to make sure the files are playable on the Windows machines in question. You may find the information and steps outlined in the following article helpful:

iMovie (2013): Export a QuickTime file
