iPad Air 2 unresponsive screen

Hi all

I just got a brand new IPad Air 2, that works just fine except for some strange issues with my touchscreen that sometimes loses sensitivity, I have to press way heavily than normally in order for the screen to recognize my touch, and even using a stylus (Wacom Bamboo Solo) doesn't help at all.

The strange thing is that when I'm at home, the device works perfectly, but when I'm in my university studying room it starts acting crazy.

I thought that maybe it's because it's cold and low temperature may affects the behaviour of the iPad... But I always keep it inside a bag, and the room I'm in is quite warm... Could it be that both my stulys and my fingers are cold?

I use a screen protector, but I can't see how it could affect my iPad only in certain situations and let it works fine most of the time.

I Tried turning it off and on again, and force starting it, but the issue is still there.

Its frustrating, I use the iPad to study but I can't do it if the screen isn't working!

Any ideas?

Press Sleep/Wake and Home buttons and hold them for at least 10 seconds.

If this does not help, take a look these Apple Support articles:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support

Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

As a final step, try the recovery mode. Turn your device off, then plug it to your computer with the home button pressed. Keep the Home button pressed until you see the iTunes logo on the screen of your iPhone. After that on your computer you should see the iTunes window saying your iPhone needs to be restored to factory settings. Click on the restore button.

If these steps don't work, contact Apple and ask for help. Your device is still under warranty, so you will have it fixed/replaced at no cost.

Thank you for your answer. I actually think i may have figured out what was causing the problem: the problem only occurred when I was using the device while charging it. According to other users with the same issue, it's related to grounding the iPad... the strange thing is that only certain power sources cause it, as the iPad works fine when working on it while plugged in at my home.
