Finding older projects

My projects (books) now won't load, but they show a cloud on the right lower corner of the book. Any idea where to find these?

I see, that are indeed the covers of book projects, but they cannot be displayed, because the themes still need downloading.

Did you just migrate an iPhoto library to Photos, and is this the first time you are looking at your books after the migration?

Then the problem might be, that your iPhoto books simply could not be recreated in Photos, because there is no similar theme. If an iPhoto book is not compatible with Photos, it will have been migrated as an album. Look in the "Albums" section for albums named like your book projects.

If your projects are iPhoto books, it would be best to continue to work with them in iPhoto.

Some photo books and calendars, made with themes that are no longer supported in Photos, migrate to Albums.

To download all themes create a new book project. That will hopefully show the theme chooser. Select a theme with a cloud icon to download that theme. Then continue with more themes.
