how to get image name to show in Photos

In iPhoto, the image name (eg Img-00000.jpg) automatically appeared under the picture (which could be changed to a title or description).

Although the image name in Photos can be seen in "Get Info", it does not appear under the picture. This can be very problematic when working with applications such as iMovie. If there are a series of similar photos, picking a particular one to use in an app is difficult.

I could manually put the image name as the title of every photo doing a Get Info on EVERY picture, but I think that would be very time consuming and a really dumb idea when dealing with hundreds or more photos.

Is there a hidden work around? I have looked in View and Preferences, but do not find anything.
