I had a pop up window come up stating I had a Trojan Virus on my Mac book pro. It gave me this toll free contact support for software number: 1 866 252 3962. Is this a true support software that will help restore my MAC? If I have issues with a trojan horse virus and hackers what can I do? Where can I go to get my free of hackers and better protected for next time?

Simply shut down your browser. Then open it back up, and clear it's cache.
You do not need any additional protection on your Mac. This was likely just caused by an infected advertising network or compromised website (that you should not revisit).

Force quit Safari, then restart Safari while holding the shift key.
That is a scam.
The best way to prevent that is to avoid the sites that are downloading such trash.
Unless you have managed to load adware on your Mac.
