Mac OS XI have I-life 11 which has IDVD but it doesn't work/reload even in customize install.
Can you describe what happens when you try to install iDVD via the Customize option? Are you referring to the no signature message you get when trying to use the installer? If so just ignore and continue on.
If all else fails try installing iDVD with the demo version of Pacifist. It should look like this:
You will, however, only get the themes from iDVD 6 and 7.

Cannot achieve getting IDVD to install / heal itself, seriously p.....ed off by the whole thing. I am not blessed with a high level of computer skills, but having looked at many posts on this issue, i could form a small army with like minded people. I digress.
When i try to load iLife 11 (Customised)
I then un check iweb & sounds and and click install, in shows install successful but it isn't, still no themes.
I then clicked on Pacifist (in your mail) and found this,
Couldn't get to anything that looked quite like your screen shot.
Tried using various selections from here, still no 'luck'. At this point I'm thinking I need a wet nurse.
If you have the patience can you tutor me any further. Using IDVD is only for my own pleasure but i sure do miss it. Tried using iMovie with Photos (only because I had iPhoto, ( which i much preferred !!!!!) but didnt seem to sync with iMovie very well and now half the pics have lost their metadata, it just gets better and better.
Have a good Christmas, and thanks for your input.

Dec 21, 2015 6:25 AM in response to Old Toadby richardfromheathfield,Hi Old Toad
I did find the right Part of Pacifist and used it to open/load the iDVD content, i confirmed that I wanted all parts of the original replaced , but upon opening iDVD again it tried to look for themes and then just shut itself down. Pretty frustating to have paid for something and then have made unusable.
Any further suggestions most welcome.

Mac OS XTo determine if the problem is system wide or limited to your user account, log into another user account on your Mac and try iDVD from there. Same results?
