Safari is so incompatible with many government sites - why cant apple fix it?

I find it quite amazing that after all these years, I cannot use safari on my Mac to deal with MOST government websites. Dropdowns that done exist is the most common problme. Happened again today - no dropdowns!!! Its a very common experience that usually leaves me bewildered until I figure out, that its Safari not me!

So the $64 question is why is Apple with its Billions of $ in the bank, not addressing these incompatibility problems. Do I just move permanently to Google Chrome and remove Safari so I dont have to deal with this situation? Am I missing something?

Click on HomeOwner services on left side - no dropdowns...and you get an error message

(in Chrome you get 4 or 5 dropdowns to choose from to get certain forms but not in Safari)

I tried and it works in Chrome in Yosemite but no dropdown in Safari.

Looks to be an issue with the site, and not specifically Safari. Firefox has the same issue.

More specifically, the javascript that controls the menu, is not correctly made.

There's nothing Apple can do. Its something the site needs to fix if they plan on supporting anything other than Chrome.
