Q: iTunes crashes when I subscribe to a podcast

I subscribed to a podcast with no problem. No more than 30 seconds later, I tried to subscribe to another podcast and iTunes crashed. I thought maybe it was just a one time thing like any other time a program crashes and tried again. Same thing happened over and over again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes (according to these instructions Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later - Apple Support)  and continue to have the same problem every time I try to subscribe to any podcast (yes, I tried several different ones). This is very frustrating as I have put a good deal of time into trying to resolve this problem, especially since it came out of nowhere right after I subscribed to a podcast successfully.

 

I'm running the latest version of iTunes on Windows 7 64 bit. This is the error message:
